Register today!

Thanks to the world wide web, UK Models can help aspiring models from Dublin straight away. By logging onto our website and filling out a brief registration form, all of the information that we need to make our decision of whether or not we think you’re suitable for modelling can be provided.

How?

Firstly we need your contact details so that we can get in touch if we think you’re ready. Secondly we need to know your age / see a recent photograph of you so that we know what line of modelling you are best suited to. A head shot’s always best so that we can get a good look at your features.

The invitation to our assessment day.

After filling in and submitting the form, a member of our New Faces team will get in touch to talk you through the next stage. If we think you have the right foundations in place we will invite you to come over from Dublin for an assessment day in our studios.

This will allow us to gage how comfortable you are in front of the camera, how you photograph and how you feel working in a professional situation with a team of stylists, make-up artists and photographers. After this is complete we can tailor our advice to give you the best chance of succeeding, whether that is here in London or back in Dublin.

Travel to London.

Plane: Fly to a London airport, which takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. From each airport there will be an option to hop on a couple of trains to find yourself at Great Portland Street. In total, the journey should take just over 4 hours. Book your flight in advance to get a good deal.
Ferry. Car: A lengthier version is taking the ferry and a train. The ferry ride takes 2 hours 45 minutes arriving at Holyhead where you can take a train to London Euston. A journey that takes 3 hours and 42 minutes. Overall, this route takes 7 hours and 40 minutes plus a 4 minute bus journey to Great Portland Street. This option is definitely for the day ahead of your assessment as timings do not work out otherwise.

Listen to our advice.

Much of our advice will focus on how to approach agencies to find work for yourself, and of course, how and why a portfolio is so important in the industry. We want you to be as successful as possible when you return to Dublin so to give you the best possible start we will provide you with an industry appropriate portfolio made by our team.

The different types of portfolios.

The traditional version is a book filled with your top ten photos from the day, all air brushed for that high-end finish. Other options available for you to choose from include a personal e-folio (a website which acts as an online CV), a set of Z-cards (business cards for models) or a disk with your photographs from the day uploaded onto it.

We will discuss with you on the day which will prove most beneficial to your career and your intended line of work, giving you honest and informative advice as we do so.

On your return to Dublin.

By the end of the session you will not only have your experiences, portfolio and advice leaving with you as you return to Dublin, your confidence of finding work will have increased. Knowing that we have already helped thousands of others in the same position as you assures us that although we can’t guarantee that you will find work, especially not straight away, we have certainly armed you with the necessary skills to put you one step ahead of your competition.

Your next move.

Decide whether you would like to remain working in Dublin or make the move to London. Contact model agencies in the Irish city to uncover the types of work available and if you are suited to the roles. For those who wish to move to the city, plan your relocation sensibly and smartly. Save enough money and plan a few trips first to gauge where you would feel comfortable living. Get to know the city and understand the lifestyle you will accommodate.
